Postdoc or Senior Researcher Position in GNSS Earth System Monitoring

In the research group of Prof. Markus Rothacher at the Geodesy and Geodynamic Laboratory a postdoc or senior researcher position is available in the field of high-precision GNSS for Earth system monitoring and early warning systems.

The following tasks are part of this research position:
- Research in the field of high-precision GNSS applications for Earth system
monitoring and early warning systems
- Trans-disciplinary work and cooperation with related geosciences groups
- Contribution to the acquisition and management of research projects
- GNSS software developments
- Option to be involved in teaching

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in geodesy, geosciences, physics, engineering or a related field. The candidates are expected to have a strong background in GNSS in general and in high-precision data processing and analysis in particular. Experience in the use and modification of the Bernese GPS Software (or a similar software package) is a considerable advantage for this position. Analytical skills, experience in programming and fluency in English are essential as well. Willingness to work in a team with several researchers and students is expected.

The position can be filled at a post-doctoral level or a senior researcher level. The position is open from now on with an initial appointment for 3 years and the option for an extension by another 3 years. For more information please contact Prof. Markus Rothacher (markus.rothacher@ethz.ch).
